Make like a tree

We got a tree. We actually planted it on Arbor Day and by we I mean Hunter. And our friend Dallin helped too. Thanks Dallin. And Kristen and I ate burritos.

Nervi- Last Stop in Italy

Nervi was a short train ride from Genova on the coast in Italy.  It proved to have the best views we'd see on the trip- which so far were VERY hard to beat! As we walked the coastal cliffs in the late afternoon- we got a special view of the best sunset ever.

I loved how the train station was RIGHT on the coast!

Right before the sun broke through the clouds.

Look at that light!

We say Genoa, they say Genova

Hunter eats

One time hunter did a pizza eating contest. And he won.

He openly talks about wanting to fund his medical degree through food eating contests.

Phoenix

Hunter and I finally went to a concert together. It's so sad that this was the first one since we've been married! We both love music and went to tons of shows before we were married but we've been such slackers the last few years.

Well we're glad we broke that streak and are going to make an effort to keep it up.

Monday night the French band Phoenix came to Tempe. And it was nothing less than anyone should want or expect from any band.

My favorite was the generous use of keyboards in their six member group. They added tons of electrical effects and distortions that I had never seen before. Love love love.

And I loved having sweaty Hunter rockin' at my side.

Truth

Hunter and I were able to sit in our clean, quiet, peaceful home and watch General Conference today.

I was overwhelmed with the Spirit and with happiness as I listened to talk after talk that was full of truth.

True principles, true doctrine, true emotions, true stories, true scriptures, true testimonies.

I have been studying "truth" and "light" and "glory" in the scriptures lately.

One of my favorite quotes (that I need to look up who it's by!) is

"Truth is truth whether you believe it or not."

And as I sat here literally beaming with happiness all day, I couldn't keep that phrase out of my head.

What a blessing I have to KNOW what truth is.  What the Lord expects, and wants.  What eternal values are.  In this MESSED UP WORLD.

How full of gratitude my heart and body and soul are that I know what to believe and who to believe.

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  I love the modern day prophets.

I love the direction the Gospel and Church give me.

And I love that Heavenly Father and the Lord through the Holy Ghost and through my efforts has witnessed to me again and again that this is TRUTH.

Oh! What a blessing.
