Car Show

Henry fell backwards on his head in our bathroom on the tile this morning.

Then he slipped at my parents house and hit is head again.... he came to me screaming in my mother's arms... and he was bleeding as well.  Luckily it was only his lip.  A tooth had pierced it!

Besides all that drama, my dad, my brother Todd and Henry and I went to the Barrett Jackson car show.

We love this tradition and it was of course, especially great to have Henry with us this year.

Jacqualin's Shower

It's been shower season.  I helped with decorations and food at my sweet friend Jacqualin's shower a few weekends ago.  Our wonderful friend Ashley hosted in her bright airy house! Loved her kitchen especially!  What a fun loooong afternoon full of friends, food and darling baby girl stuff.

Theres a baby bump hidden behind those balloons. ;-)

Goals for 2016

Geesh it's taken me a long time to pinpoint what I want to focus on.

Here we are:

Simplify- do less, say no to things, less social media, throw stuff away, spend less money.

Save Money

Savor Mom Moments- choose Henry over less important things.  Which is basically everything.

Skip the Sugar- No sweets except for a few cheat days spread throughout the year

Go to the Temple three times per month

A Day In The Snow

After much weighing and hesitation (on my part and I don't know why) we went to Lakeside for the weekend and took Henry to the snow for the first time!
We stayed at Nate and Heidi's house while their family was scattered (and Nate and Heidi were house hunting in Sacramento).  So we had the whole house to ourselves! It was quite ideal.
Hunter's other brother, Benson, and his family are up there as well.  We had a great time with them eating, playing games and sledding!
My favorite part was late nights and sleepy mornings.  Nothing to do- just with my little family.

Henry did well for his first time in cold weather.  His snowsuit was killer cute.  He was pretty suspicious most of the time.  But had some good giggles and smiles as well.

I loved three things especially.....

1. When he and I tried to sled together but I kept sliding off the sled.  So we just laid in the snow and snuggled and kissed instead.

2.  When Henry finally rolled over in the snow and started eating it.

3. Sledding with my Hunter.

Snow is okay.

Perfect Weather and Trucks

Yesterday we took an afternoon and had lunch, lounging and Caterpillar rides at my parents house.  Henry was laughing as he rode in the truck with my dad!

Hot Cocoa Party// Christmas is Over

I'm about a two weeks late in tagging this post after Christmas.

We had Hot Cocoa Party again.  Every year as we set up for the party I think "No one is going to come!" And then they do.  And it's so wonderful.  And at the end of the night I am so glad we do Hot Cocoa Party.   And I honestly don't have ANY pictures from the night.  It's a tradition now.

But after the party, after the loooong Christmas Day, Hunter and I sit and talk (and this year take pictures with our new camera).  And have our own Christmas time.

And so I wanted to just write that.  And post a few photos.  So I can remember that evening time with my honey at the end of a long day.
