San Francisco // Day 2

Day two we left our rental van parked at the apartment and we headed out on foot and stroller!

Henry apparently still needed a few more zzzz's.

Had breakfast at Zazie's.

Henry had cereal and prunes and apples (that we packed along), and strawberries and oranges complimentary of the staff at Zazie's- who Henry was highly entertaining.

My poached egg with crab and avocado and mixed greens.  People.

Hunter tried Zazie's famous Challah french toast with orange batter.

This was all such a good idea.  Thanks to Jenny for the recommendations for most of today's eating!

We took another bus ride over to the Japanese Tea Garden to meet up with Hunter's family.

This place was exquisite.  I also loved how cool and quiet it was.  Henry took a nap and honestly, I wanted to take a nap too!  It was such a beautiful morning and the gardens were so peaceful! It actually reminded me of Disneyland in how manicured everything was.

These next two photos as we took turns on this bridge for pictures I think demonstrates our personalities.  haha!

We headed across the park for the Botanical Gardens.
This was the perfect quiet spot we found for Henry to eat.  And then have a huge dirty diaper.
That's why his clothes change coming up here!
But all of that put him in the best mood! We basically had a huge photo shoot at the Botanical Gardens and I think I"ll do a whole post on that later.

It was HOT. We left the gardens and grabbed some ice cream on our way to Pizzeria Delfina.

Where Henry had another nap!

THIS PIZZA.

Woke up in time to chow down on the last slice!

Down the street was B. Patesserie.

OH MAN.

These.. THESE.  Kouign Amann!!!  I got the recommendation here.  And it was Hunter's favorite pastry we had in San Francisco!

Not pictured: The two hour nap we had at home in between full bellies and these shots below at Crissy Field:

Next we took the crew over to the Palace of Fine Arts.  What beautiful grounds! And to be there at sunset on such a calm day! No visitors besides us!

The house architecture all around the city is to die for.

Late night stop at Ghirardelli, and some TASTY seafood we had by the wharf for dinner.
(I didn't get pictures because when I'm eating seafood I can't concentrate on anything else.)

Henry was so zonked by then.  He got bathed, pajamaed and was snuggling with Hunter and he was so tired that he kept wiggling in Hunter's arms.  Henry went from his shoulder, to his elbow, to his lap and eventually slid himself right on the floor and then fell asleep instantly.  It was cute and funny.
