San Francisco // Day 1

Oh this was the best trip!  Henry is a first class traveler! And everything just seemed to work out for us! The weather, the flights, the apartment we rented, our awesome rental van, finding parking, etc. etc. etc.

We had four days in the city and then a weekend in Sacramento with Hunter's brother Nate and his family.

So here's Day One!!!

Henry being a ham at the airport (and everywhere) waiting for our flight.

Had a good sleep through his first flight!! yay!

Wearing new shoes to keep his feet warm.

Breakfast at Angelina's.

A pretty good bagel for California and AMAZING salmon spread.

The three of us headed back down near the airport via Uber to pick up our rental van which was so nice! It was super clean and had all the bells and whistles.  I almost want one.

Driving back into the city!

The traffic our entire week (until the very end) was incredible! And everyone kept saying how we got here on the best day because it had been raining for 2 weeks! And as you can see here we had bright blue skies and balmy weather!

Drove up the coast to meet up with Hunter's family.

Met up at Sutro Baths in Land's End.  This wasn't even on my list for the trip but was one of my favorite things we did! Gorgeous views on top of the most gorgeous day.

Then we drove over the Golden Gate Bridge to Muir Woods National Park.

This was completely a fairy land.  I kept waiting for centaurs to stroll by.  It is incredibly quiet because there are no birds!

Muir Woods was my number one spot on the trip.

I love how dark it was under the canopy of trees.

One of my favorite moments with Henry in his LIFE so far was when I had him in the Ergo baby walking through the woods.  We were snuggling in this peaceful place and laughing a ton together! I would play peek a boo with his blanket and snuggle my face right into his nose.  He just giggled and giggled.  We ignored everyone around us and had a super sweet moment together.

Headed out of the woods to Sausalito for dinner- but probably because it was a Tuesday in the off-season all of the restaurants that had been recommended to us were closed!! Total bummer.

We took a few pictures and had to get back over the bridge quick because we were SO HUNGRY.

Had the famous Boudin sourdough with clam chowder and then fish and chips at Pier 39.  Yes two dinners.  Don't judge.

We walked back to the car by the famous sea lions of Pier 39.
Henry yelled at them a little and then we called it night!
