Christmas 2017

Christmas was absolutely wonderful.
Henry was a dream and loved the entire day. Christmas Eve was Sunday and we spent it at Church, home and then at my parents.  They invited some friends to join us and it was really good idea because it made our evening service to these people who didn’t have anywhere to go.  Friends from their ward.  The food was the absolute best food I’ve had on Christmas Eve.  Stuffed mushrooms, baked brie in puff pastry, mom’s italian chicken, todd’s tomato risotto, a goooood salad and then mom surprised us with lasagna.  which hunter was most excited about bc he loves lasagna. Later we had a fire pit.  Indy took a nap.
We came home and had baths and Henry put out cookies for Santa.  And he had some himself too.
Indy coughed all night.  I was quite worried.  I could barely sleep anyways because I was so excited.
Indy coughed all Christmas morning at our house.  And then we actually stopped at walgreens on our way to breakfast my parents to get him some baby cough medicine.
Mom and Dad do such a great job with all of our gifts.  It stresses mom out all month but she really spoils us and its our favorite day of the year.
Henry was on overload and couldn’t even comprehend all that he was getting.  His favorite was toy food and pots and pans from todd.  And then the last gift opened was his wooden train set from my parents.  He was exclaiming “a train, a train!” as he opened the paper.  He wanted it out immediately and while Dad and Hunter were opening the box Henry was clapping and smiling and bending over with his hands on his knees in total excitement.  Watching him get so happy made me cry.  I love him.
Indy slept a little in the car (i drove around mom and dad’s house property to put him to sleep).  When he woke up i found paper in his mouth and I wonder if he had been coughing on that all night.  Geesh.
We came home and the Garners all came over.  We got the food set up and it was glorious as usual.  Indy took the best afternoon nap and was much better after that.
Henry also took a splendid nap. He crawled right into our bed since his cousins were all playing in his room.
Pam and Dale are on their mission in the Dominican Republic so we figured out how to do Christmas without them! Although they were on FaceTime the whole time on the TV watching everyone open presents.  I loooooooved having everyone over here.
Then we went to Benson and Sarah’s for dinner.  I looooooved taking the party over there too.  Sarah had it all cozy and the food was very good.
