San Francisco // Day 4 HUNTER'S BIRTHDAY!

Our last day in San Francisco was also Hunter's birthday!
While the rest of the Garners went to visit a museum, we went to bakeries!!

Hip daddy and son:

Craftsman & Wolves.  It took almost an hour to get there (the buses were a little nuts that morning) but man, I am SO glad we went!

The Rebel Within was the BEST thing I ate on our trip:

Then we went to Tartine, totally expecting a loooong line... we waited about 10 minutes tops!

Geesh.  Hunter got some good birthday breakfast.

Here's the pan au chocolat and Hunter's Gruyere and Ham croissant.

We got a morning bun too, but really.  The pan au chocolat.

I loved our morning table.  Fancy pastries and sippy cups, cherrios and prunes.

We had a much faster bus ride home to our apartment where we packed the van and drove with all of our family to the Painted Ladies.

It was a cloudy morning, but right as I got my camera out, the sun came out and blue skies peeked through!  We also parked directly in front of the houses.  For reals.  We had the best luck on this trip!

Henry and his chin took a nap.

Then- last stop before heading out- the Bi-rite Creamery.  Insert heart eyes.

Honey Lavender, Salted Caramel and Chocolate.

Okay.  Then we drove a terrible 3 + hour drive to Folsom, California which is 20 minutes outside of Sacramento.  It was Friday afternoon so the entire city, or so it seemed like, was driving out to the suburbs for the weekend.  Henry slept or laughed the entire time.  He's an angel.

Our trip was kind of focused on the fact that Hunter's brother Nate and his family had just moved to Folsom.  So after a dreamy four days in San Fran, we spent the weekend in Folsom and Sacramento. Once we got to Nate and Heidi's house, Hunter had some work to get to on the computer (sad bc it was his birthday, remember?) and I went with my sis- in law Tara and her husband, Spencer to the outlet mall that I had spotted on our drive.

After only one AMAZING Gap Outlet experience, Hunter called to summon us home because everyone was ready to go out for birthday dinner.

We had some killer Mexican food and I made everyone go around the table and say their favorite thing about Hunter.  It actually was very funny and pretty sweet at the same time to hear some sentimental things from a family that doesn't do that too often.  ;-)

Oh and Henry was SOOOO finished with this entirely long day that he went a little crazy.  "Sleepy Jollies" my friend calls them.  So he turned around in his chair and was yelling at the restaurant and making the hugest mess.  I love him so much.

And of course- a happiest of birthdays to my main man, Hunter.  Who is the best companion any girl could ask for.  I love you TOO much.
